Shalom from Moscow!
My name is Alexey Shepelev. I serve to our Lord Jesus Christ in Moscow Russia, I have a privilege to be the first Apple of His Eye mission society missionary abroad of US. My ministry started officially in July,1 of 2004.
I ‘m a honored husband of my wife Anna and a proud father of daughter Masha ( Maria). We are married for almost 15 years. I met my wife Anna in 1990, we both were Russian hippies and stayed away from God, though Anna was much better then I.
Although we both are have Jewish blood, she always looked to Jesus with big respect, it was hard to say the same about me, I was really anti-Christian person and my view of Christ always was negative, but at the same time I understood that I need to find the One who can give me an answer.
I tried to find savior in new age movement as well tried to find answers in Judaism, but no matter how much I tried nothing happen. Anna told me that I maybe am wrong about Jesus and maybe we need to look at Him more curiously. I remember once Anna and I talked about the case where our human power can’t do anything: I didn’t think that Holy Spirit worked in our life, but I told Anna, if Jesus is the true God and Messiah we may ask him to help us, if He help us anyhow then we can confess Him as our Lord and Savior.
God answered to our prayer within few hours, we don’t have other chance than recognize that He make true miracle in our life, we both bow down and confess Jesus as our Lord. Its funny because for many people the way to Lord usually goes thru the church or thru believers, but Lord decided to touch us almost directly. It doesn’t matter how He reached us, more important is that He truly did so, now we are His children and we praise the Lord for it! My wife and I started our journey in Christ since 1990. From this time we always doing something in Church.
As we near Thanksgiving, we at the Apple of His Eye want you to know that we give thanks to God for you, our friends, prayer-warriors and mission supporters. Because of you, we are able to report continuing growth in our 9th year of missionary activities.
November is the month we dedicate the pages of our newsletter to bring you news of our families and how you can be praying for them. We joyfully share ourselves with you because we consider you an integral part of our extended family! Together we are stronger than we could be just by ourselves.
