Live on Purpose

A dove breaking its chain and flying upwards.

Ti-i-i-i-me is on my side, yes, it is Mick Jagger. I always laugh when I hear this song. Have you seen Mick Jagger lately? Hey buddy, time was/is definitely not on your side. Remember how you thought time was on your side? Then you look in the mirror and have an immediate wake-up call.

Making the best use of the time, because the days are evil (Ephesians 5:16, ESV).

...not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near (Hebrews 10:25, ESV).

Every January I look back over the previous year and ask myself how I have grown spiritually. What changes have I or the Lord brought about to grow me closer to His perfect will for my life? Sort of a mirror to the soul. Then I note the areas I need to work on. James 1:23-25 NIV says, Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do. My life and will must be in conjunction with Abba’s will.

How do I know what His will is, for the following year?

God gave us His Word. It has hourly, daily, monthly, and yearly plans for our lives.

  • Read the Bible daily. Have a plan or start at the beginning. At one point in my life, I would read a chapter a day in the Old Testament, New Testament, Psalms, and Proverbs. I read through Proverbs monthly with this plan. Oh…by the way, I had three children under six during this time (and my house was spotless). There are plans and ideas on how to read through the Bible in a year, but the point is to do it. Whatever works with your lifestyle. The Bible has your name on it (I’m not talking about the inscription on the front cover). This is our heavenly Abba speaking to you.
  • Memorize verses and the book names in order. I must say, I was shocked to learn that most of the men entering seminary don’t know the names of the books or the order they are in. What? Children can be taught this before they can read.

Set lifetime goals (it’s never too late). Someone once said: “don't sacrifice the permanent on the altar of the immediate.” But seeking first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you (Matthew 6:33, KJV). Write down lifetime goals that you want to accomplish when you stand before Yeshua, because “he that does the will of God abideth forever” (1 Jn 2:17, KJV). Our desired will should be to know the will of God and to do it every day.

Just as it was in the days of Noah, so will it be in the days of the Son of Man. They were eating and drinking and marrying and being given in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. Likewise, just as it was in the days of Lot—they were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building, but on the day when Lot went out from Sodom, fire and sulfur rained from heaven and destroyed them all so will it be on the day when the Son of Man is revealed. (Luke 17:26-30, NIV)

Believers, since the time of Yeshua’s ascension, have been looking and waiting for His return. But never have the days been parallel to the days of Noah, as they are now. Same-sex marriages, abortions, open sexuality/promiscuity, wars and rumors of war, great weather changes, broken families, blatant disrespect to parents, etc. Godlessness. There is no shame nor repentance. We can speak about religions but don’t mention Yeshua. This is a brief description.

On the other hand, we are receiving reports from friends in Israel, that many Israelis, are coming to Yeshua and many seeking and asking questions. We have had such a wide range of seekers here ourselves. Longfellow said: “God is not dead, nor does He sleep”. Now is the time we all need to be ready to give an answer to everyone.

I feel like a broken record, trying to encourage those who know the truth to share it.

I know people in the ministry who are satisfied with just sitting and doing their regular programs. We will ALL be held accountable for our time. Set a goal to share with someone monthly, weekly, or daily. Then put feet on your prayers and open your heart and mouth to those who are nearest hell.

Be the person God saved you to be!

And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. (Jude 22-23)

Therefore whether you eat or drink or whatsoever you do, do all to the glory of God. (1 Cor. 10:31)

I have only just a minute,
Just 60 little seconds in it;
Forced upon me - can't refuse it,
Didn't seek it, didn't choose it.
I must suffer if I lose it,
Give account if I abuse it;
Just a tiny little minute,
But eternity is in it!

We have received such good reports on the book: From Our Father To Amen Becoming A Person of Prayer by Ross Heinricy. I would encourage you to read this. I will send a complimentary copy to the first 25 people who write and ask for it. Other books on my recommendation list:

  • Philistine 2: The Great Deception by Ramon Bennett
  • Jesus in the Hebrew Scriptures, The Identity of the Messiah by Meno Kalisher
  • Emotionally Healthy Spirituality by Peter Scazzero

Love from my heart,
